We are back in business. No mechanical issues, no headwind, no rain. Just blue skies and smiles on our faces today! We rode toward the Atlantic and found a drastic change in landscape and seemingly culture very soon after exiting Bordeaux. The roofs have the red curved brick type of shingles, it feels a bit more arid and there is noticeably more Spanish speakers amongst us. That said, for the past several days, Alex has been brushing up on his Spanish. We both feel more capable (but especially Alex) with navigating through Spanish communications compared to French. We will see how it goes!
The sand dunes you see in the Relive video are the larges dunes in Europe! Alex and I took turns climbing them after eating our break food.
I've added a bit of bonus material below - just a few extra pics, but also some video of a band playing nearby. Alex and I heard them while walking home from dinner. At first, we thought it was just recorded material, especially when we didn't hear any clapping. But we continued to walk toward the music and found some great entertainment! We don't know what the occasion was, but we were just happy to come upon it and enjoy the show for a while.
Tomorrow we have a ~75 mile ride in store. May we are just being a bit over zealous after such a good ride today. But it's got to be done - the hotel is already booked!
